We have created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to explain how we collect, use, share, and store personal information you provide us when you use our website and services. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our website and services.
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we'll notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement on our homepage or sending you an email notification). However, no one will be able to identify individual users from this data set as it does not contain any personally identifiable information.
AI-Powered Assistant & Third-Party Data Processing
My Breast Day® is a registered trademark of My Breast Day Inc. in both the United States (Reg. No. 8,182,609) and Canada (Reg. No. 1,357,213).
Our app includes an AI-powered assistant provided by Anthropic (the "AI Assistant"). When you use the AI Assistant, the following information may be shared with Anthropic to process your request:
- Messages you send in the chat conversation;
- App data you ask the assistant to retrieve, such as calendar events, journal entry titles, cycle dates, expense records, contacts, and health resources.
Anthropic does not use data submitted via its API to train its AI models. Your data is processed solely to generate a response to your request and is subject to Anthropic's data usage policy.
Anthropic is a United States-based company. Data processed by the AI Assistant may be transmitted to and processed in the United States. For Canadian users, this constitutes a cross-border transfer of personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). By using the AI Assistant, you consent to this transfer.
The AI Assistant is not a medical professional and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.
How We Store Your Personal Data
All Personal Data is stored in secure servers maintained by us directly or by service providers engaged by us who adhere strictly with all applicable laws regarding storage security measures in relation to your Personal Data provided that they must maintain appropriate administrative safeguards against unauthorized access/use by third parties outside of My Breast Day®'s control network for any purpose other than what is expressly authorized herein. Furthermore, all financial transactions relating to payment processing are processed via secure methods involving bank networks and payment gateways which comply fully with world best practices regarding online payment transactions security measures before being hosted on encrypted servers secured by industry best practice safety mechanisms employed at industry standard levels of encryption algorithms (SSL).
How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active, so you can continue to access your history and use our services. This includes:
- Account information (name, email, profile data);
- User content (journal entries, photos, cycle data, calendar events, expenses, contacts, and other content you create in the app);
- AI Assistant conversations (Anthropic does not retain your data after processing your request).
When you delete your account, we immediately delete your Personal Information from our active systems. After deletion:
- Database backups: residual copies of your data may persist in encrypted backups maintained by our hosting provider, Render, in accordance with Render's backup retention policy. These backups are automatically purged on Render's schedule and are not accessible for ongoing use.
- Payment records: payment and transaction information processed through Stripe is retained in accordance with Stripe's data retention policy and applicable financial recordkeeping laws. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.
How to Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete your Personal Information at any time. You can do so in either of the following ways:
- Delete your account in the app: Log in to your account, go to your Profile page, and use the "Delete Account" option. Your account and associated Personal Information will be deleted immediately from our active systems.
- Email request: Send a deletion request to support@mybreastday.com from the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion promptly.
Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. As noted above, residual copies may persist in our hosting provider's encrypted backups until those backups are purged on the provider's schedule, and limited payment records may be retained by Stripe and by us where required by law.
Accessing & Updating Your Profile
Users can log into their account at anytime via www.mybreastday.com/login & update their profile settings including changing passwords & updating their contact information at any time during their subscription period provided that they have full access privileges granted via registration process completion & acceptance of Terms & Conditions agreement upon signup confirmation through valid email linking verification code sent out via automated email system reply chains operated solely by My Breast Day® property based web applications systems operating exclusively within predetermined technical parameters stated herein at all times throughout user's respective account lifecycle periods which shall expire upon either party electing unilateral withdrawal from agreement upon proper request/notification timeline alerts sent out accordingly within prescribed understanding between both parties hereto first established during initial enrollment process initiation heading outlined in Account Registration agreement form accepted prior thereto.
